Aaron Brand
My name is Aaron Brand, and I’m the owner and operator of KB Motor Works LLC, an independent BMW specialty shop located in Hartselle, Alabama.
I’ve been professionally repairing BMWs since 2012 and am a graduate of the NASCAR Technical Institute, where I also had the opportunity to build high-performance marine engines for Ilmor Marine. That experience, combined with over a decade of hands-on BMW training, shaped the foundation of my approach today—precise, honest, and always evolving.
I hold multiple industry certifications, including:
- BMW High Voltage Diagnostic Specialist
- ASE Master Automotive Technician
- BMW Master Elite Technician
In 2023 and 2024, I was proud to place among the Top 96 BMW diagnostic technicians in the United States, and one of only 24 in the Southern Region, as part of BMW’s national Diagnostic Technician of the Year competition.
Behind the Tools
I’m also a husband and a father to three amazing boys—Maverick (3), Macklin (1), and Pierce, who we welcomed in June 2025. I’ve been married to my wife Kayla for eight years, and starting this business was about more than cars—it was about building a career close to home, where I could be present for my family and serve my local community.
When I’m not in the shop, I enjoy time with my family and occasionally getting out for a round of golf.
At KB Motor Works, I treat every BMW as if it were my own—no shortcuts, no upsells, and no guessing. Just expert diagnostics, thorough repairs, and total transparency from start to finish.

Aaron was great helping with doing a pre purchase inspection on my mini cooper. I put the inquiry in on Sunday which was not his working day and set up an appointment that same day for the next day. I was referred to Aaron by a friend. It was after hours, and I messaged him through his website and he followed up within just a few minutes and right from the start I felt comfortable with him. He answered all my questions very truthfully. I was very, very pleased with the service that he provided. His shop is probably the cleanest shop I have ever seen. Aaron has worked on my 2008 BMW Z4 3.0si several times. I use my Z4 for pleasure driving and autocross, so when I wanted a limited slip differential put in the Z4, Aaron was up for the task. It drives like a whole new car. Excellent and timely work and he even checked up with me to ensure I wasn't having any issues. If you want someone to treat your BMW like it's their own, I highly recommend Aaron.

So look.. This guy!! Is the one.. Not only is his shop immaculate but his tools are kept just as clean.. He wears a custom self branded uniform, carries himself with pride and professionalism.. He knew exactly the parts names along with their description when I had issues I couldn’t find or that dumbfounded me. He’s the real deal. Provided fast service as well as provided in depth detail of diagnosis each step of the way on some big service issues I was having done to my BMW M6. Had a multitude of things worked on for my 2018 Bimmer m240i. He did an awesome job keeping me informed of each setup of the process. You also get an itemized account that shows you exactly what the vehicles issues are and if you want those items fixed. Never a pushy moment.
